Rev Daniel Cargill (D. C.) Faris born 21 Jun 1843 near Bloomington IN was a brother of my grandfather, Rev Isaiah Faris. Their father was James Faris, born15 May 1791 on Rocky Creek, Chester District, S. Car. Their mother was Mary Ann Beckett. This family is discussed in the book : "The Faris Family of Bloomington, IN" by David Faris,1989, Gateway Press, Baltimore. If there is a connection between this family and the family discussed in the email titled [FARRIS-L] Letters of J.H.S. Faris 17 July 1916, I am not aware of it.
