Does anyone have any info on these Alexanders? I have some info but I'm not sure which of these Alexanders it is about. Alexander Faires b. @ 1797 m. Jensu ________________. Their son: John A. Faires b. __________________ in Catawba Junction, York County, South Carolina {He was born late into the marriage}. His son: Alexander Faires. Alexander b. @1787 {Unless he is a twin which I have nothing to support this theory he wasn't b. in 1878} married Jensu (Jensi) is the son of Alexander b. 1758 and Elizabeth Strain Faires. This is the only child in this family that stayed in South Carolina. The other children went to Tennessee with their parents. Alexander b. @ 1797 is also known as "Little Alexander," "Black Alexander, or "Alexander, Junior." Very confusing. There were Faris' across the river that were related to our people - - the family being extinct now - and they were closely related to Aunt Hattie Sturgis. She knew some of them, but not the relationship. My 1st cousin has spoken to me about this family and said there were two Alexanders and to distinguish one of was known as "Black Alex."
