    3. Hello, Are your Farris' (etc) in Ohio at all? If so, what are the dates and names? My Farris all seem to be in Ohio, except for William G Farris' father, he was born in Va. Somewhere!! But I'm just taking a shot in the dark seeing if perhaps, some one has some Farris in Ohio! Thanks, Crystal "Warren Fairess" <WGBMFAIRESS@worldnet.att.net> wrote on Saturday June 26, 1999 at 8:46pm: >Samuel Fairess, b. 11-12-1827, d. 1-22-1895, buried Methodist cemetery, Dover, Kent County, Delaware is my gggrandfather. >Some of the family name variations I have found thus far are: Faris- 1850 & 1860 census, Farres-1870 census, Farris-1880 census, Ferris & Faries-1900 census, and Fairess-1910 census. Samuel was a Blacksmith and in the 1880 census his brother Alfred, age 19, was residing with the family. Alfred was also a Blacksmith. Think I have connected the Fairess and Faries families together, although hard documented. Am trying to work back for a possible connection to Hugh Fairess, Pennsylvania in the 1750's. Or to the Faries whenever and whereever. >and whereever.=20 > > >==== FARRIS Mailing List ==== >You may search the Farris-L archives on the Rootsweb web site at: http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl >In the surname field, type in Farris +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The coolest site for free home pages, email, chat, e-cards, movie info.. | | http://www.goplay.com - it's time to Go Play! | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
