These letters were published in the June, 1999 issue of "The Quarterly", a publication of York County Genealogical and Historical Society". I have received permission from Louise Pettus, the editor of this publication to share this information with the Farris-L. If anyone is interested in joining this organization, membership is $20 per year, due on June 1. "The Quarterly" is published quarterly and is a fine publication for anyone researching families of the York County, SC area. York County Genealogical and Historical Society PO Box 3061 CRS Rock Hill, SC 29732 Since this will be a long post, I will probably split it up into sections and post as I can. The individual who abstracted this information and shared with the Society was Betty Givens Moore. She would like to exchange information with other Faris researchers. Her address is 226 Woodland Hills Dr., Oxford, MS 38655. _________________________________________ Letters of J.H.S. Faris, abstracted by Betty Givens Moore 29 Jan 1910.
