Just a word of caution on coat of arms....it's my understanding that the original coat of arms that families had were unique to that FAMILY - not the surname. Therefore, I am not certain that the coat of arms that is displayed on my site IS THE coat of arm for Farris. It may be one that was used by a Farris family at some point, but we certainly do not have the history or explanation of the meaning of this coat of arms. Having said that, I still wanted whatever existed for the Farris surname!
