Hi Debbie...thanks for the message. Samuel Summerfied is indeed my gggrandfather! A "cousin" answered my posting yesterday and once we had established everything coincided she sent me 99 pages (she has been working on this for 12 years) of information that included what I needed. She gave me SIX new generations besides that..all the way back to 1679 Samuel Summerfied Fariss' father was Hugh Whiteside Fariss (m. Charlotte F. English). Hugh Whiteside Fariss' father was James Fariss, Jr. James Fariss, Jr.'s father was of course James Fariss, Sr. James Fariss, Sr.' s father was William Ferris (note the spelling changed) William Ferris' father was Christopher Ferris b. 1679, d about 2/16/1737 in Helena Parish, Beaufort, S. E. (m. Rachel). She sent me the names of the cemeteries where they are buried, copies of their wills, copies of deeds to their land...I can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also all of their wives names, etc. I would like to see what you have and if you want the 99 pager, as soon as I get it converted I will send it to you. It is a Gedcom program which I don't have but my husband is checking into (she said you can download it off the internet - it is a Mormon PAF program). Maybe all of that will mean something to you. What program are you using. Also, I can send what I had prior to this contact if you are interested. This is facinating. Joy Robinson
