    2. Dear group, I recently corresponded with a new online acquaintance from the East Texas list who had the following info. She is not related to any FARRIS/FAIRESes but does have a book with FAIRES, etc info. There was a James Hanks Fares >> ------------- "The Pioneers Of Anderson County Prior to 1900, "was published by Anderson County about 15 Plus years ago. JAMES HANKS FAIRES/ FARRIS , s/o James & Syntha Hanks Faires, b. 12 Sep 1835 in TN. His Mother died the day after he was born and his father brought him by wagon train to TX, the train was headed by his grandfather, Rev. Thomas HANKS Some early years are missing, but he was in Angelina Co in late 1840's & early 50's. He married 27 Dec 1860 to Elizabeth TUCKER in Anderson County. and they had a daugh Syntha Elizabeth, called Lizzie Bell, who married Robert Scarbrough of Tennessee Colony. He was in the Confederate Army , Private, 2nd Sgt. CO. D, 13th Tx CAV. , after the war, he returned to And Co, his wife had died and he married 1 Jan 1867 to Emily Frances SEAGLER, d/o George W. Faires & Ann Jane Holly, their children were: Anna George Margaret Mae Willie Clyde Clay Charles Lee Mary Elizabeth Martin Luther James Hanks JR.
