    3. Hi Folks, Without confirmation at this point, I have a feeling that Alexander and James are part of the Delaware line....until we can get more information on that line, we will all just have to hang in there and see what developes. Blacksmith is the key at this point, as "our" (Gail and my) family come from a long line of blacksmiths, farmers, and furniture makers.....although most of what was done back then was that type of work. Gail and I have traced "ours" back through Alfred D. and Elizabeth McAfee Faries, Charles B. and Susannah Turner Faries, to Alfred D. and Rebecca ? Faries all of whom have been found in Delaware, in the New Castle and Kent Co. areas. We found where they are buried, and need to contact the cemetery to see if they have more information than the death certificates...we also have been working with Census and Tax records on them...but so far in vain. I have a Samuel Faries who donated property to a Presbyterian Church here in Pa...and hope to research that one. I also found a grave, just yesterday, for Samuel S. Faris (1875-1945) buried with Osie O. Faris (1871-1947). I will need to go back and research that and see if he is the Sammy who donated land. Everyone hang in there, and keep communicating with each other. This site is a valuable tool for all of us to put this family together. Have a happy, safe fourth of July. Will continue our quest of Faris, Ferris, Faries, Faires. Carole Faries Werner :}
