Hello everyone, I would like to know if anyone on the list is researching the Farris' in Va. along The Clinch. I read an exerpt from a book a couple of weeks ago and it said: (in my words!!) In Esterville (?) VA, 5 miles of Bristol along Boones Trail in VA, there is remains of a house where Farris' lived, apparently they were hiding from Indians there and their deaths are the reason it is called the Bloody Ground (I think). dont know if I connect to that VA. Family but I still would like to know the story on that! Oh Yeah the book was called The Virginia Tourist, I cant remember who wrote it, I found it on this web site which is searchable http://www.makingofamerica.com I do recommend the site, its really really neat an interesting!
