    3. Hello everyone, While I was at the local library branch today I was looking through their Cincinnati books and found some FERRIS info I would like to pass along to you all. FERRIS' in "First Families of Hamilton County-official roster volume 2" from The Hamilton County Chapter of The Ohio Gene. Soc. Ferris 1)Ann yr. in county: 1799 yr. of birth: 1799 died 1878 Spouses: Henry Beekley and Solomon Moore. Ann is d/o Eliphalet Ferris and Catherine Knapp. from Ohio 2)Ebenezer yr. in county: 1789 yr. of birth : 1771 died 1800 Spouse: Getty Ann Edwards. Ebenezer is f/o Rev. Isaac Ferris s/o Isaac Ferris SR. From Conn. 3)Eliphalet yr. in county: 1799 yr. of birth 1774 died: 1859 Spouse: Catherine Knapp. f/o Ann Ferris. from Conn. 4)Isaac (Rev.) yr. in county: 1800 yr. born: 1796 died: 1860 Spouse Phoebe Marsh. s/o Ebenezer and Getty Ann Edward's. f/o Samuel Marsh Ferris and Mary Jane Ferris. from KY. 5)Isaac Jr.. yr. in county: 1794 yr. born: 1768 died: 1843 Spouse: Elcy Thornell. f/o Mary Ferris. s/o Isaac Ferris SR. and Mary Sherwood. from Conn and Penn. 6)John Jay yr. in county: 1794 yr. born: 1787 died 1857 Spouse Ruth Knapp. f/o Mary Zorelda Ferris. from Conn. 7)Mary Ferris yr. in county: 1797 yr. born 1797 died 1854 Spouse John Stevens. m/o Ezra Ferris Stevens and Thomas A. Ferris. d/o John Jay Ferris and Ruth Knapp. from Ohio 9)Samuel Marsh Ferris yr. in county: 1817 born: 1817 died: 1903 Spouse #8. f/o Harriet L. Ferris. s/o Rev. Isaac Ferris and Phoebe Marsh Those listed as Rev War soldiers 1776-1783: Ferris, Isaac SR. (Patriot) Ferris, John SR. Pvt. Those listed as soldiers of the war of 1812 Ferris, John Pvt. Where they lived in Hamilton County: In 1789 Isaac Ferris SR. wife Mary Sherwood sons Isaac Jr., Ebenezer and John lived in Columbia, still called Columbia, 3/4 mile below the mouth of the Little Miami 1789 John Ferris and wife Elizabeth Denton (John is the Rev. War Patriot) also the nephew of Isaac Ferris SR. John isn't listed on any other pages except for the Rev. War Soldiers. They lived in Columbia also. Apparently they lived in Columbia first with uncle Isaac SR., then moved on to Carpenter's Settlement. which is now called Blue Ash. This family are the first people in Carpenter's Settlement- their log cabin was on Kenwood Rd. in Blue Ash. I do have the copies of the info above, if someone is related to or would like to have them drop me an email, I will gladly send them to you, for the price of postage only!
