I understood from the family that there was a licence issued (paper long gone). The name was Farris - May have been George and Mary Farris. John F.L. Farris is son of William and Glathia Farris of Coffee and Franklin co TN, grandson of Absolum Farris of SC, NC. The Faris in Jackson co AL are either from George and Margaret Farris or from the Warren co TN Farris family who desc several generations from James Farris and Vaughn lady of VA. So they are two or three sets of Farris families. George & Margaret Farris have KY connection. Mike Barr

Does any one know anything about my grandmother, Mary Farris? She was born about 1900 and married Wilson Evans. This was in western WV or eastern KY. She had 6 children: Paul, Hessie, Dorsey, Patricia, Robert and Tom. I think she had a brother, John, that lived near Logan WV and a sister, Ann Farris Hensley. I think.... Thanks, Micki Sosby

However, you can't have my copy because it is all marked up. I learned important new information is each chapter. I expect that this book will make me a better coordinator of this project.
