I just wanted to Thank everyone who have answered my offer to do look ups in: 1880 Census, Mo. 1870 Census, Moniteau Co., Mo. 1900 Census, Vernon Co., Mo. 1920 Soundex for A165 1880 Soundex for M220 I will look for everyone who has sent a request to me & will let everyone know what if anything I found by this weekend. I have decided to do genealogy research as a "profession" now, in order to stay home more to be w/ my baby. I hope when I do start doing this, that other's will ask for my help. Concord Monitor - Concord NH December 19, 1998 Scott R. Farris, LACONIA Saturday, December 19, 1998 LACONIA - Scott R. Farris, 44, of Strafford Street, died Thursday at the Lakes Region General Hospital. He was born in Concord, the son of Robert and Blanche (Ellis) Farris. He lived in Laconia for most of his life. He was formerly employed by Stamping Technologies, Laconia. He is survived by a brother, Jeffrey Farris of Belmont; three nephews; and his fiancee, Julijone Flanders of Laconia. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Sanbornton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Church, 30 Church St., Laconia 03246.

My gggrandfather was William Phares, born in Ohio (Hamilton co) in 1825, died in Moline, Ill in 1915. I just connected today with a family member from one of my great grandfather's brothers!! i cant wait too see what info she can share with me!! In case any newcomers are listening in...(hope you are) my g g grandfather was William Charles Ferris of N Ireland, settled in Ontario, and had 10 kids. He came to canada from northern ireland in 1865 "as a young man" (i figured by this and by census returns indictaing age that he was born c1848) He married (unknown where or when, prob in Simcoe county - he and wife and first child were there in 1871 census) Caroline May Louis [although I think now her last name was spelled Lewis] - she was born 1847 oct i thnk i have the day here too....and place.... They had 10 children that i have of record, but I have found 2 more on census returns not in my grandma's notes. they had Robert, george, charles, lige (Elijah),Henry, Arthur, Frank, John, Bella and Walter. Bella married Thomas Dickie. WCF died in 1923, mother Ferris in 1925 both buried in Fariholme cemetery. Arthur farmed until 1965, then sold and moved to foley twnshp where his brother Henry lived. Elijahs family were named Arthur, Clark,hazel(twins) Clifford, Robert,and alice. Some of this info has come from a book called "Along Memory Lane with Hagerman people"volume 3 printed 1982. Crystal, I thought I'd give you a few days rest before asking my lookup request. Here it is: John Farris, (1815-1876) m. Rebecca Dickson (1816-1891). They lived in MO probably by 1850; before that, John was born in KY and Rebecca was born in PA. No idea where they met/married. Or who their parents/siblings were. Nor, for that matter, who their children were besides William Zachiariah Farris. Hope you find them! Elizabeth

1998-MAY-30 SOUTHEAST MISSOURIAN CAPE GIRARDEAU MO GOREVILLE, IL-- Funeral for Ted Farris of Goreville will be held t 1 p.m. Monday at Whitnel Funeral Home. The Rev. Ron Ferguson will officiate, with burial in Busby Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms IL from 5-8 p.m. today, and also at Whitnel Funeral Home Sunday from 5-9 p.m. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Farris, 66, died on arrival Thursday, May 28, 1998, at Marion Memorial Hospital (Marion IL). He was born Dec. 6, 1931, in Alexander County IL, son of Samuel and Dovie Denfip Farris. he and Elanor Stuart were married Oct. 29, 1950. Farris worked 31 years at Southern IL Power Co-Op, retiring as shift foreman of opertions. He had served on Goreville School Board and Goreville Town Board. He was a member of Lake Milligan Baptist Church at Miller City IL, 32nd Degree Mason and member of Saline Lodge 339 AF&AM, and member and past worthy patron of Eastern Star Chapter 1009. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debbie Farris of Goreville; two sons, Bob and Gary Farris of Goreville; a brother, Don Farris of Miller City; a sister Betty Healey of Olive Branch IL; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in deth by his parents and a son.
