Farris, a native of Winchester, Tenn., and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church in Shepherdsville. Survivors: a daughter, Jewel Raymer; a son, Dalton Morris; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday, Maraman-Billings, Shepherdsville. Topeka Capital-Journal Topeka, KS September 7, 1998 MARYVILLE MO -- Services will be at 10am today at Laura Street Babtist Church here for Roberta Elitha NEFF, 73, Maryville, who died Friday, Sept 4, 1998, at a hospital in St Joseph MO. She had cancer. She was born Mar 11, 1925, in Fairbury NE to Elmer E and Elsie Hortense HOUSTON FARIS. She was graduated in 1943 from high school in Graham MO, southwest of Mryville, and taught in rural schools. She was a member of Laura Street Baptist Church in Maryville MO. She was a Bible school and Sunday school teacher many years. She was married to Lloyd Melvin NEFF Apr 7, 1946, In Graham MO. He survives. Other survivors include sons, Keith NEFF, Maitland MO, and Jonathan NEFF, Topeka (KS); and daughters, Sandra GIFFIN and Nida CLAYTON, both in Guilford MO, and Elitha BRUNING, Red Oak IA. Also surviving are brothers, Arthur FARIS, Columbia SC, Leonard FARIS, Georgetown KY, Harold FARIS, St Joseph MO, Adam FARIS, in California, James FARIS, Gretna NE, Joseph Bryce FARIS, Troutdale OR, Edwin FARIS, Durango CO, and George FARIS, Louisville CO; sisters, Marie TATUM, Tucson AZ, Sara DAWSON, Sun Lakes AZ, and Neva JONES, Happy Jack AZ; and 19 grandchildren. Burial will be in Maitland Cemetery in Maitland MO, southwest of Mryville. Mrs Neff will lie in state after 9am today at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Laura Street Baptist Church in Maryville, 64468. Price Funeral Home in Maryville is in charge of arrangements.

    3. Evansville (IN) Courier January 15, 1999 McLeansboro ILL.- Dwight Farris, 79, died Wednesday morning at his home. He was a retired farmer and Protestant. Surviving are four daughters, Reba French and Vitginia Sue Nichols, both of Mt. Vernon, Dixie Tucker of San Clemente, Calif. and Judi Manki of Chesterfield MO; three sons, Charles William of Dunlap, Alan of East Peoria and James Leroy of McLeansboro; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. His wife, Norma Jean Allen, preceded him in death. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gholosn Funeral Home in McLeansboroChapel, with burial in Albion Cemetery in McLeansboro. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

My husband (almost ex) and his family (He's the blood Faries) are from Marcus Hook, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. I have two children and I am working this line for them. I have been researching with a Faries cousin, another new subscriber to this list. We are researching various spellings, and many different locations. I found a huge list of names and marriages on the LEWIS list I also subscribe too, and it is directly from a handwritten account passed down for 5-6 generations it looks like. Charity and Ray are listed as the 5th generation of this person, and dates and places are not listed.
