    3. Hi Paul, Would love to hear how you met James. Haven't heard from him in a long time, that's my fault. Does he have E-Mail? I met him at a Farris Reunion some years ago in TX. if you have been in touch with him I doubt if I have anything to help as we have exchanged so much. Will check anyway with any info you might need. So nice to be in touch with another close Farris. 3. Hi there! In addition to doing genealogical research on my paternal family, I am also trying to locate my father. His name is Kenneth Wayne Farris. He was born on July 22, 1949, probably in Oklahoma near Oklahoma City. He graduated from either La Mirada High School or John Glen High School in La Mirada, California in 1967. He joined the Navy in late 1969 or early 1970. He has dark hair and hazel eyes. His parents are John and Marlene Farris. Marlene may have been of Latino descent. There was also a younger brother and a sister, whose nickname was Cookie or Kiki or Chickie. She also had dark hair and eyes. Thanks for your help!

    2. Carole Werner
    3. I need help, I am pulling my hair out about this Alexander line. Must be a blonde day, cause I just don't get it! I have the will of Alexander (dated Sept 1783-died 1785) Pencader Hundred, New Castle DE. There is another will here from the S.C. Alexander Faries (dated Feb., 1824-probated August 1824) Now, I found paperwork at Historical Society: There were three Alexanders 1. married a Delaware Lady- Jennet James ? 2. son of above-killed while working on railroad. 3. 1st cousin-Alexander-fought in the American Revolution. I am trying to get clarification on these boys. If Alexander of Alex and Jennet, is buried in S.C. and his will is from New Castle DE, did they bring his body to S.C. to bury him? Jennet died after him, and is buried with him. So they moved from New Castle DE to S.C.? How old was he when he died? The son Alexander-was to have died on the railroad. Was he born in DE or S.C.? Where is he buried? DE or S.C. Who was his wife? In his will he mentions Jennet? Then we have the cousin. Did he live in DE or S.C.? Is he the one who started Faries Funeral Home business? I am still very confused with all of this....to many Alexanders! What about Alexander's brothers, does anyone know who they were? Please help! I just keep going around in circles with this. Does anyone have copies of these wills, death certificates, birth or baptizmal information? Were they all buried in S.C. or some in DE. What religion were they? So many questions, but the answers will help put things together. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Carole Faries Werner :]

    3. Midland Reporter-Telegram Midland TX January 21, 1999 George Farris, Sr. George Farris Sr. passed away on January 18, 1999, in Midland. George was born September 30, 1911, in Eufala, Oklahoma, to Druby and Fahda Farris. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He then moved to Midland to be with his two sons, George Farris Jr, and Camal Dakil. He married Mildred Riddle in 1977. George pursued a second career as a salesman for Dillard's Department Store for 10 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a lifetime member of Rotary International. It has been said that no man can spread himself so thin as to be all things to all people, but the family of George Farris knows better because he was there, like a second father, for everyone, whenever they needed him, with no questions asked. Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, January 21, at Alamo Heights Baptists Church with the Reverends Eddie Norris and Lane Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
