    2. Dot- My Faries line begins in Delaware. The earliest record I have thus far is in the 1720s, with Robert Faries the Irishman. The spelling of "Faries" varies in all records. One of the versions is definitely Fearis and Feariss. Gail

    2. Hello All, So glad I ran across this mailing list. My name is Joan and I am trying to run down my husbands FARRIS line. So far I haven't made much progress, here is what I have so far.My husbands mother Martha Farris b.Jan.09,1910 (I think in Logan Co.WV) d.Jul.23,1957 Switzer,WV. Logan Co. married Samuel Ferguson b.Feb.19,1907 Dunlow,WV. Logan Co. d.Walkertown,NC Forsyth Co. They had 10 children Martha was the daughter of William Farris and 2nd wife Evaline. There were other children from this union and several children from William's 1st wife Elizabeth. I have William's birth as abt.1845 and death 1911. William's father might have been David Farris and Lurana Pratt. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that might could help me with this line. I can't hardly do actual leg work being so far from WV, I would love to be able to run all this down in person. Alabama is just a tad to far for a quick visit to the WV courthouses and capitol. Thanks very much.....Joan

The Farris list that I have is a private list for those who share - or think they share - our Farris family. I would ask that you check my Farris page and if you don't feel you have a connection to our family, please continue to direct your inquiries to the Farris list at FARRIS-L@rootsweb.com. We are flattered on our private Farris list that you would be interested and would welcome all with open arms into our Farris family if you do, indeed, believe you may relate.
