Farris b about-1845 in Ohio I do beleive Married Mary Ellen Stevens unknown date. Parents for both unknown. The only child known of so far is John Ailee Farris b-May 7 1871 in Chillicothe, Ross Cty, Ohio d- May 18 1947 in Chillicothe, Ohio married: on Nov 29 1891 in Jackson, Ohio Mary Roseanna Ireland (parents: George Ireland and Delilah Leach) b-Nov 24 1871 in Richland, Vinton Cty, Ohio d-Sept 27 1959 unknown place. Hi Joan Yes I am very interested in Farris from Wayne Co WV. I have been on the Farris e-mail list ror a long time and have not seen any info close to mine. My grandmother Bertha Wellman mother Rachel Farris b ca 1857 Ky. d 17 Mar 1928 Wayne Co WV m Oliver Wellman her parents were William & Serrany (Friley) Farris. This is all I can find on them, I have not found them in any census. William's name is on Rachel's death & Serrany is on marriage certificate. I wonder if she had Rachel in her name as there is a Benjamine Farris married in Wellmans whos' parents were William & Rachel also if Serrany or Sarrany or Sarann might be Lourany as this name is also a name in Wellmans let me know your line.
