To Crystal: Regarding your post of April 6. I do not procrastinate. I always read April mail in June. I agree with you that weird names like Handsberry, Harley, and Alva should be easy to track. And you had "one normal one named Freddie." But "Archie" is also a normal name. Believe me. That's what I keep telling our grandson. Webster's used to have a section in the back on Derivation of Names. "Archibald" in the Ancient Teutonic means "bold brave prince." They certainly got that right. Hope to find Archibald Farris some day. Let's all keep looking for "normal" names. Regards from Archie Ammons

Hi Frank who is the parents of william walker....i am a Phariss/Pharris....some of my line was from TN....thank you for your responce.....jenell
Looking for William Walker Pharris (Farris) we think he died in an explosion in Chattanooga, TN late 1800's early 1900's. Would like any info. Frank
I need to correct the information for two people buried at Bethany ARP. Churchyard in South Carolina. It should read: ALEXANDER W. FARIS In memory of / Alexander / W. Faris / died Feb. 20th / 1818 / in the 15th year of his age ESTHER FARIS Born June 27th 1846 / Died Aug. 18th 1855
Hope, I try not to share any info on people that could still be alive. But whether we like it our not, others are going to share our family genealogy with others without our permission. It is inevitable. I guess the only way it is not going to happen is to not share with anyone. But not sharing defeats the purpose of what we all are doing. So, in this we all have a dilemma. I guess one could say when one sends out any genealogy to others, "Please do not share any data of living relatives". Or just not send out any data of living people. But there are bad parts to that, too. I guess it has to be an individual decision. Most people doing genealogy want it for just that....genealogy. They are not going to do negative things with that information. Just my opinion, Shirley
I am a lil upset, someone has passed my family tree around with out asking me if it was acceptable.
