Me too, My earliest Faris found so far is my gggrandfather, James Faris, born about 1823 in Deleware or Maryland. By 1850 he was in Philadelphia with wife Jane and son George Kane Faris (my ggrandfather) James died 1886 in Philadelphia. No clue about James's parents, siblings etc. His civil war pension record indicates he served with 68th Pa Volunteers and was aboard the ship "Pennsylvania" in 1842 - but no official record of that has been found so far. I've been stalled at this point for 30 years or so. Clues welcome. Lorraine Faris __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
