Pam (and other Farris/Ferris researchers), You and I discussed the Richmond co, GA. Farris/etc. families a while back. I have you in my Farris notes as looking for info. on one James Farriss. This weekend, I went to the Greenville Library yesterday while up in the area visiting my father-in-law. They have massive census records for many states, and I concentrated on the GA. census records. I gathered a little more Farriss info, on GA. Farris families, who connect to Richmond Co, GA and combined it with some of the info. I already have. I found the following after making a list of ALL Farris/Ferris/etc names living in GA in 1850 and looking them up one by one, county by County. Hope this helps someone. C.'s wife Elizabeth as possibly being my Elizabeth Parker who married Howell Farris of the James in the 1850 census, but the birthdates that I have confirmed with the 1900 Baldwin Co. census records on Elizabeth Farris (inmate at the Georgia State Sanitorium) do not work to be the same Eliz. Parker as below. The Augusta Chronicle obits contains the following info. on this Elizabeth: Death Notices and Obit for Elizabeth Ferris, wife of J.C. Ferris, Augusta, Richmond co, Ga. Augusta Chronicle: 26 Dec. 1914: Death During the Night of Mrs. J. C. Ferris; One of the Oldest and one of the Best Beloved of the Women of Augusta. Her friends and the friends of her large family will regret to learn of thedeath, shortly after midnight of Mrs. J. C. Seeking any information on Isaac Farris & Sarah Thompson, married probably in Russell County Virginia before 1808. In the 1820's was in Lawrence County Kentucky , 1830's & 1840's was in Jefferson County Indiana and Carroll County Kentucky. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Could this be the same Fletcher Cabot Farris, born June 21, 1908, in Al and died Feb. 22, 1972. He married Mamie. She was born May 5, 1909 and died July 8, 1995. They are buried in Old Flatwood Cemetery, Nauvoo, Walker Co., AL. Fletcher was the son of William Byrden "Byrd" Farris and Sara Margaret McGough of Walker Co., AL.. Hi, Jim, I didn't get to go either, but I have visited the cemetery. The new stone is shaped differently and is thicker than the old one. And the old one has been cemented together.
