    2. Cousin Elvin, How can we all get copies of your research? I have a writable cd-rom. If we could find some way to zip it in several portions and transfer it here, I could make copies for any you might want to give copies to. I have high-speed cable connections thru the address above with unlimited mailbox size. I am the great great granddaughter of John Alexander Faris who was the son of Dudley Faris/Farris and grandson of Thomas Farris. Would love to see your work and maybe we can add my book on the descendants of John Alexander Faris to it. Jocelyn Faris Original Message: ----------------- From: Elvin E. Hope everything is ok. I have printed out my "notes" for the Farris line (10 generations). It has been converted to word format, with maps and pictures. Mainly the research goes through John Isham Farris, after you get down to him. I have used Randall's and your notes, as well as other researchers. If you get any inquiries, maybe I can help on this particular line. The book is 460 pages long. Over 110 MB of space. I can't get it into a cdrom now because I don't have a writable cdrom feature on my computer. 2. John V. Wylie
    3. Hi Wanda, et al, 25 Sep 03 Sure, I can do that. You can learn more about me at my website linked below. I've been working on my FERRIS line since 1987 and have found it to be quite challenging. For example, this query: "I'm seeking information on Reverend Charles Grandison FERRIS, born 8 Jul 1827, in Portage County, Ohio, died 1 September 1888 in Van Wert County, Ohio (though he is buried in neighboring Paulding County.) Married Sally WARD, 5 February 1861. The Rev. FERRIS served in the Civil War as Chaplain in the 123rd Ohio Volunteers, and was granted a pension 11 April 1879. He was expelled from the Central Ohio Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1866 and reinstated in 1868. Contact John WYLIE, 2662 Carrington Lane, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052. [email protected]" Much about this FERRIS line is fascinating and I'm doing what I can to flesh out Charles and his people. Since I perform genealogical research professionally, I suffer from the curse of not having time to do as much of my own work as I'd like. Joining this list is based on knowing that loyalty to spelling just adds height to the brick walls we encounter in this craft. I trust this is what you had in mind.
