I do not have FARRELLY in my own family tree (yet!), but that is no obstacle to doing the job properly. I was attracted to this list in particular amongst the many waiting to be adopted because I have a friend with that name. :-) If you need to contact me, you can write to either wendy.howard@gmail.com<mailto:wendy.howard@gmail.com> or the FARRELLY-admin@rootsweb.com<mailto:FARRELLY-admin@rootsweb.com> address that is listed on this list's information page (http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/surname/f/farrelly.html<http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/surname/f/farrelly.html>). This list has been quiet lately, considering how many people are subscribed to it (more than 20). Perhaps a few of you would like to write in with a few details about some of your EMPSON people? If you've never done this, or haven't done it for a couple of years or so, now's a good time. :-) If you're new to posting, simply: - start a new email - address it to FARRELLY@rootsweb.com<mailto:FARRELLY@rootsweb.com> - type a meaningful subject line - write your message - read through it to make sure you said what you intended to - send it off I'm here to help you with any difficulties you have communicating with the list, so please don't hesitate to write to me if you're having problems with posting. 3. http://www.ancestry.com/?irish=1 and http://landing.ancestry.com/popularmedia/hs1.aspx?landingpage=3DF_nc&o_iid=32618&o_lid=32618&o_it=31531 (this is the page you're taken to if you click on the first link and then click on the "Start now" button; another step is required before the free period begins) No credit card required. I was alerted to this on another list, which said the offer was for 16-19 August. I cannot confirm this from what I've seen on the Ancestry pages. Forget all your plans, and spend the next three days gathering data that you wouldn't normally have access to! :-) Don't forget to use Ancestry's "My Ancestry" tab to record your tree so that they can suggest connections and data you may not have seen before, including census pages. It's free to use this section at any time. Wendy

    1. [FARRELLY] Roll Call--Farrellys of Kingscourt
    2. Welcome to the list, Wendy! You seem to be asking for a roll call, so here goes: Peter Farrelly and Ann Jones lived in Taghart North, Kingscourt, in the early 19th century. They had 8 children, including Patrick (born 1809, married Anne Farley), Lawrence (married a Carney), Michael, Anne, Catherine, Julia, Ellen, and Peter (born 1830, married Julia Johnston). Patrick and Michael emigrated to America, Lawrence stayed in Taghart North, and Peter (my ggrandfather) settled in Leiter. I don't know anything about the daughters, unfortunately.
