My Farrelly ancestors came from Drumlane Parish (near Milltown) Co. Cavan. According to the 1901 Census, My grandfather's brother, John Farrelly lived on a farm there with his wife Julia and their son, Michael Farrelly who may have been born around 1874/5. Julia may have been John’s 2nd wife. He had previously married Anne Baxter in Kildallan Parish in 1873. This family was not recorded on the 1911 census. My father's name is James, his father is Michael. They lived in Kells, County Meath, Ireland. I was told the family originally came from Cavan, so I am sure there is some connection. My father was born in 1919. My grandfather was probably born in the 1880's. I only know that my grandfather had brothers. perhaps one of them was the father of your James Farrelly, but I have nothing else to connect them. Mike Farrelly, Waldwick. New Jersey, USA

I haven't been able to find any of them past 1880. Thank you!
