    1. Farr family in Mississippi
    2. I am in search of information of the family of Fannie Maie Farr Paulk, Chickasaw County, MS. It is believed that she is my grandfather's mother, but he was orphaned at a young age, and records are sketchy. Records show her children to have lived with an uncle, Richard Farr, in Chickasaw County in the 1900 census. Land patents for Chickasaw County show a Thomas Farr who had a patent issued 10-09-1845. My grandfather was Charles Augustus Paulk, b. 1896; his brother was William Elkin Paulk, b. 1892; they had one sister, Maie Paulk, b. 1888. The boys went to the Mississippi Orphanage at Water Valley, and were later taken in and raised in Summit, Pike County, MS by Rev. W. T. Griffin, a Methodist minister who also served on the board of directors at the orphanage. No one knows what happened to the parents, Fannie Maie Farr Paulk, and Elisha Porter Paulk. No graves, no records. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
