I hope this helps someone. William Dison Married Polly Fir(Fair-Furr) in Burke Nc .I believe she was Joseph Fairs sister and also a fullblooded cherokee . Joseph Fair lived next door to Johnathan Boon in 1800 in the Morgan District of Burke County NC.This fits with the Boon Story. Uncle Solomons son John applied for a cherokee pension and was denied because he spelled Pollys maiden name wrong and did not know His Uncle Joseph was already on the rolls. I Believe Injun Joe Dison was named for Joseph Fair/Fir. I took this from a posting of Jerry Dagenhart (March 16, 2004) I hope it helps Katrina Cutter
