I certainly never suggested that you do the DNA thing :-P I have 21 James Farrs in my Northern states line with only one from that (James Sr.) time frame (1753). He was born in MA and not married to an Elizabeth. I have no records of your James connecting to the Northern line (of course that doesn't mean it wasn't so :-\ I will check further and see what I can find and get back to you soon...
