Hello cousins all, This is to notify you of the 2001 [98th] FARR family reunion to be held at the usual place, the FARRVILLE Community Church at the junction of count roads 200 North and 1100 East in Grant Co. Indiana. The date is, as usual, the first Sunday in August, August 5, 2001; the time is Noon[ish]. You are required to bring an appetite and the interest in where you came from. Anything else is optional, but the meal will probably be better if you bring something to add to it. ALSO PLEASE NOTE THE NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS: FARRVILLE@JUNO.COM This is an e-mail account set up for FARR family traffic so that I am able to [hopefully] keep things less confusing with my e-mail traffic. PLEASE MAKE YOUR OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS AWARE OF THIS. If you do not see someone's address in the header and know that they are interested in the FARR family, please help spread the word. As you know, all are welcome. Also, if you know of other family e-addresses, please notify the FARRVILLE@JUNO.COM account and I will get them in the address book. Thanks, looking forward to seeing you on August 5th. For the Family Larry A. Whinery

I am in search of information of the family of Fannie Maie Farr Paulk, Chickasaw County, MS. It is believed that she is my grandfather's mother, but he was orphaned at a young age, and records are sketchy. Records show her children to have lived with an uncle, Richard Farr, in Chickasaw County in the 1900 census. Land patents for Chickasaw County show a Thomas Farr who had a patent issued 10-09-1845. My grandfather was Charles Augustus Paulk, b. 1896; his brother was William Elkin Paulk, b. 1892; they had one sister, Maie Paulk, b. 1888. The boys went to the Mississippi Orphanage at Water Valley, and were later taken in and raised in Summit, Pike County, MS by Rev. W. T. Griffin, a Methodist minister who also served on the board of directors at the orphanage. No one knows what happened to the parents, Fannie Maie Farr Paulk, and Elisha Porter Paulk. No graves, no records. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
