Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg//pdV.2ACEB/607 Message Board Post: I seek any information re Richard and Sarah FARR nee MAY or MAYO. They came to NZ 1873 or 1874 with a child named JANE SMITH. Possibly from Faringdon Berkshire England. Richard's death certificate lists his parents as George and Sarah FARR, labourers. Sarah is listed as the daughter of Thomas MAY or MAYO, publican.JANE SMITH was not their natural daughter, and gives her fathers name as THOMAS SMITH. The family story is that Jane was the daughter of gypsies, so her birthplace of Faringdon may not be the home of the FARRS.. Thanks Jean

I have been been researching my KY families and I have put a KY marriage site on my home page. Since I am researching the following names BRADFIELD, HADLEY, GIBSON, PENNINGTON, ROUSE, LEWIS, SETSER, COOK, WRIGHT, BALLARD, CADWALADER, MURRAY, JAMERSON, SISK, ASHBY, SPRAWLS, DICKENS, FARR and various spellings I figured I would do a website for all of the names listed above not just of my families. I did this to help others who are also researching these names. I have much time, so I figured while I am looking at microfilm and books I will just get all of the information on anyone who has that last name. You can view the marriages at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ourancestry/kymar.htm Kristie

She was born about 1830 in Georgia. They were married in Greene County, Alabama in 1849. They were living in Ashley County, Arkansas in 1850 and she had a son named Norman Pippen. My GG grandfather (Jefferson B. Pippen) remarried about 3 years later and I don't know what happened to Margaret Farr Pippen and their son Norman. If anyone has a Margaret in their line that may fit these dates and locations, please contact me. Thanks.

However, can you supply the earliest dates you have and area in which they lived as I have recently found other areas and branches of my Family Tree which may be of value. If all Farrs can communicate with me I feel sure I will be able to answer many questions in the future. Incidentally, I am shortly off home to visit my mother again this time for her 101st birthday so let's hope all Farrs live a long life. Cheers, Bernard

I believe my Farr`s lived in/around Exeter during the late 1800`s and possibly before. They were Drapers. With the death of the father, the family moved to Essex. This information was got by word of mouth, and as yet I have no names for that time period. There was a daughter who`s name was Doreen I think. Have you any possible links with this branch of the family? Regards Chris Everett.

I would be pleased to hear from any GRANT living today in ABOYNE SCOTLAND. My family tree goes back to Aboyne with a number of generations being born there. If any person in Aboyne scans this message and should know of a GRANT in this area I would be grateful if you will pass the email address on to them.
