Stevenage Herts. 1590. I have been unable to find his origins but one possibility is as a sibling of Robert Farr who married Alice Houghton in 1589 at Stevenage. Is this your Robert and did he have a brother William ? Regards, Rod Farr
Dear List The following catalogue entry refers to details of an administration for this person. Presumably Edward had lived in Australia, but returned to UK where he died. > > >> 1860, Oct. 5 >> COPY ADMINISTRATION of the goods of Edward Farr , late of Sandhurst, >> Victoria, Australia > The document is held at the National Library of Wales among a collection of papers. No location is given in the catalogue, but it is likely to refer to Wales or the bordering counties of Shropshire or Herefordshire. Noone on the FARR-UK List can connect with this person, but in view of the Aus connection I am keen to find anyone with a link, as I may be able to see the document shortly. best wishes all, Pete Pete Brown Groby, Leicestershire /\___/\ | o o | >(( v ))< \ _^_ / List honcho: Rootsweb FARR-UK Rootsweb BROWN-ENG-NTH

My gg grandmother was Jane Farr (m. to John Hales). Jane was the daughter of Henry Farr (your Robert's brother) and his wife, Elizabeth Merrett. I don't know that I can currently be of help to you with any of your Robert's descendants, but I will surely let you know if I run across anything (and also if I find any information before James Farr and Martha Marks -- that's where my information currently ends on the Farr line). If you find or have found additional informationn on this family since your last post, please let me know! Thanks! - Sarah Hales
