Here is all I have on the Farrs'. "William Levi and Lieu Raney Elmina (Lou) Travelstead Farr came by wagon to Cooke Co., TX from Southern Illinois in 1895. They were accompanied by their six sons and four daughters. Two more daughters were born in Cooke Co. William's father, John and Lou's mother, Nancy Cole Travelstead, also came at the same time."

I finally received some info from Mickey. Would you by any chance be kin to a Galloway family? The papers I have are not too clear and Mickey is going to see if she can get a better copy from her brother. By what I am able to read= Thomas Jefferson (Jeff) Farr b. 1846 in Miss. married both 1. Sarah (Sallie) Annie Gallaway (m 1869, Travis Co [TX?] and 2. Mary Margaret Gallaway. From the combination, 17 children were born. Two of these are Loucresia (Lou) Farr (Sarah's daughter)b. 1878, d. 1904 and John Farr b.189_ (Mary's son). Within this same family there is a William Albert Farr called "Bill" who was born to Mary in 1879. Thomas Jeffferson Farr's father was married 7 times as near as I can figure out. (2 unknowns, a Smith, a Kelly, a Thomson, a Harten [Hasten?] and another I can't read. Do any of these names and dates make sense? Sue

The Family Record pages contain references to 62 individuals and events (Births, deaths, marriages) between 1765 and 1914. Surnames are Brush, Coggeshall, Crowther, Davis, Dodge, Farr, Frazee, Freeman, Howe, Kelly, Lowerre, Muller, Pearsall, Phelps, Redfield, Stappers, Thomas, Truly, Wheatley, Wright. The majority of individuals (28) are Lowerre's, with the majority of the remaining surnames maiden/married names of descendant or ancestor spouses or children of those married individuals. The longest line between earliest and most recent individual is five generations. Most of the events are in the New York (state) area, but there are entries from Pennsylvania and Colorado. If you have any interest in this bible or it's contents, feel free to contact me directly.

The F was a T but misread. He was the son of William & Elizabeth Brecheen from NC, then TN then onto Macoupin Co, IL. He was b. abt 1816. His sister Nancy and family settle in Gentry MO. I found a Benjamin F. Farr (which our name has been spelled and many other ways) he was on the 1883 Pensioners of Gentry Co. Does anyone out there know of these men? Thank you ahead of time.
Whereabouts in England do your FARR'some from Bernard? My grandmother was Sarah Louise FARR - born in Australia, but her father was born in Wales and her grandfather in England. Cheers, Helen - in Melbourne OZ

One in each place - Gloucester, Cheshire, Berkshire and London. I think that your best approach would be to get hold of the marriage certificate as you know when they were married. The reference should be obtainable from the GRO index. Good Luck Angela

Earlier this year I found connections here in Australia and have added at least another 100 connections to the Farr name. I will be only too pleased to assist you but I do request other information if at all possible to assist me. Best wishes and good luck in your search. Bernard

I visited with a Farr daughter today. She said her father was Hosea (sounds like hoe-sea). He was born Mar 8, 1889 and died Feb 28, 1943 when she was a year old. She doesn't know much about him, but her brother gave a Bill as a brother to Hosea. There were seventeen children in the family (3 were triplets who died at birth). Her brother is going to send her more info snail mail and she is going to let me know when she gets it. By the way, Hosea is buried in Grassland, TX. Have any idea where that is? Her mother's family is from Llano, TX and they are distant kin to my husband. Will update you later. Hope this is helping you. Might even help me find my elusive Frank Farr. Who knows? Sue
