Hello List, I am looking for information of James Farr, married to Susanah Acres b. 1761. They are buried in St. Lawrence County, NY, but a "cousin" told me they were from Vermont. Children were James jr., Elijah, Reuben, Thomas, & Jared. If anyone has information on James & Susanah in Vermont, I would love to hear from you. Jane Alois

My husband's family (Farr) has lived in the Steuben County, NY and Tioga County, PA area since the early 1800's. I would greatly appreciate any information you can give me.>> The bible in question is no longer in my posession, but as is my practice when placing these old family records, i keep JPEG copies of the pages, and also post a basic family tree developed from the bible entries, on Ancestry.com. All the names in the bible can now be found on Ancestry. There were only three actual Farrs in the record; one S. Millard Farr, who married one of the descendants of the original owners of the bible, one Louisa A. Lowerre, b. 14 Dec 1854; this union produced at least two little Farrs, twins, Harold and Millard, b. 19 Aug 1890 in New York (I presume from other entries this is NY City). I hope this is of some help. John W.

Mr. Kruse: I am interested in finding out where I could obtain any information on either Powers or Farr families in the Parham/Perham papers. Cd you help me? powermark@earthlink.net Patricia Powers-Bilafer
Karen, I cannot answer your question about David FARR's parentage I would be interested in your line of descendancy. I descend from William FARR 1819-1873 who married Rebecca Malinda DAVIS. It is believed that Wiliam was a brother to David or maybe even a son of his. Looking forward to hearing from you. Alice Foster Blevins

I am hoping to learn who David's parents were. In my county's heritage book, a family entry states that David is believed to be the grandson of Ephriam Farr who died ca 1884 in Mecklenburg. Since David was supposed to have been born ca 1800, when was Ephriam born? Or was Ephriam David's father, rather than his grandfather? Who was Ephriam's wife? Does anyone have the names of their children? I have read the postings on this board, and it seems that all questions concerning David and Ephriam have been answered privately, with the latest posting being almost 1 1/2 years old. It is my hope that someone will be able to provide answers to my Farr questions. Thank you in advance, Karen Trull Jordan

Dear List. I should have checked more before I posted my last message. I do not think the list received the "inappropriate messages ". I'm sorry I hit the panic button so quickly. I just would never want any of you to be subjected to any thing like that and you not know I would do all I could to stop it from happening again. Hello to all. I have received two inappropriate messages posted to our Farr list. I am taking the problem to rootsweb and will do my best to stop a repeat from this source. I am sorry if these posting reach all of the list. It is unfortunate that I can not guarantee that this will not happen again. I hope all of you will have a safe and happy Labor Day.
