I have been on this list for about a year. This is the first time I"ve seen someone object to people asking about the whereabouts of family bibles. My assumption about the purpose of the list was: 1. A place to list the contents of family bibles you have 2. A place to "query" whether anyone might have run across or own a family bible you are looking for. 3. A place to let people know where there are family bibles listed, either contents or for sale. I never thought it was such a hidebound list, that one or two people, not listowners, could dictate policy. Considering the fact that this list lies dormant for months at a time, I really can't see why anyone would object to a few e-mails occasionally. I'll unsubscribe also. Any family information I have is already in the Archives.
