Hello, I am searching for my 4th gr gr parents, Steele & Caroline Michaels Sample bible. In l912 it was in the possession of a granddaughter of theirs, Della K. Sample Williams of Elkton, MD. According to Civil War documents she had to present the bible to a notary to veryify the birthdate of an uncle, Morrison Abraham Sample/Abraham Morrison Sample in Pittsburgh, PA. In l925 or so, in an obituary of her parents, she is listed in it as being from Elkton, MD. Any help would be gratefuly appreciated. I am also searching for my 5th gr gr parents bible, David & Susannah DeCamp Sample of Westmoreland/Mercer Co. PA. References in some records refer to the family bible, but no hint as to who inherited it. Pat-Norfolk, VA
