Talks of hiring on a ship bound for Europe at $16.84 per month. 3 page letter Item #81473494 1846 Talbot County, Georgia Document Document from Talbot County, Georgia dated 7 October, 1846 which reads in part: "To all and singular the sheriffs of said state---greetings: We Command You, That of the Goods and Chattels, Lands and Tenements, of George Davis & John Blair partners using the name of Davis & Blair you cause to be made the sum of Eighty Dollars and -----cents". On the reverse is a notation dated Jan 25th, 1850 signed by Sheriff Parker attesting to the fact that no property was found to levy. The names mentioned on the document are John Levering, John H. Levering, Sarah Levering, William Morrison, H. G. Jones, and G. W. Riter. The document is signed by John Levering and Thomas Van Court. It is a deed for Lot # 54 and was deeded from John Levering to William Morrison. The back of the document also has John Levering and John H. Levering's signatures. The center of the Bible contains several pages of names dates and pictures of his family. There is a picture of a civil war soldier in uniform which is the son in law of Mr. Morhaus his name is Leonard Walker who married Mary Ann Morhaus. There are also other pictures of the Walkers in later years and some of the other Morhaus children. The pictures are CDV type and there are eight of them .
