Sue, I saw your post on the SIMS family Bible and the connection to the LEATHERS family. Where and when were your LEATHERS family? My ggg-grandmother was named Mary "Polly" LEATHERS (1812-1870) She married William "Billy" MONCUS (1812-1891) in 1834. Their daughter Martha Elizabeth MONCUS was born in 1837 in Malone, Randolph Co. Alabama. Their other children were named Frances Caroline, Emily C., Amanda "Mandy", James "River Jim", Mary J(ane?), Lucy Ann, John C., Alfred "Alfa" MONCUS. I have not begun to research the LEATHERs line, so don't have any additional information or names. Does any of this look like there could be a connection between our LEATHERs families?
