Thanks for reminding us that the LDS is putting their information out. I tried the URL that was given in the letter today and it did not work. However, www.lds.org does work.

I am searching for the owner of the family Bible of Lewis Ezell, born 5 Sept 1780 in NC. He died 2 Nov 1841 in Lauderdale County Alabama. Lewis was the son of one Benjamin Ezell. Lewis married Nancy Rogers, born 5 Jul 1783, daughter of Jonathan and Priscilla Rogers. According to his will, Lewis' children were: Winney, Priscilla, David, Martha, Noah, Isaac, Mary and Sarah. I am hoping for two things from this query: 1. To find someone descended from eithe Mary or Sarah. 2. To discover further information on Lewis' father Benjamin. As I promised, I have several pages of Davis information from an 1803 Bible, in New York. It's quite long. Could I send it to you by surface mail? It would take a long time to put it on here- I don't have a computer- I only have a webtv. Please send me an address if this works. Sorry that I have to send you written pages- not a disc- but they will be copies of the actual pages, and the copyright page. Thank you Barbara
I apologize to list members. I accidently hit send before changing the address and deleting the extraneous information. I had intended to reply to Sue directly. Cate Daniell New Mexico, USA
Sue, I saw your post on the SIMS family Bible and the connection to the LEATHERS family. Where and when were your LEATHERS family? My ggg-grandmother was named Mary "Polly" LEATHERS (1812-1870) She married William "Billy" MONCUS (1812-1891) in 1834. Their daughter Martha Elizabeth MONCUS was born in 1837 in Malone, Randolph Co. Alabama. Their other children were named Frances Caroline, Emily C., Amanda "Mandy", James "River Jim", Mary J(ane?), Lucy Ann, John C., Alfred "Alfa" MONCUS. I have not begun to research the LEATHERs line, so don't have any additional information or names. Does any of this look like there could be a connection between our LEATHERs families? I am looking for a family Bible of the Sims' family (or Simms family). I definitely know of only one that was in the possession of the Doss Leathers family (wife was Lizzie Simms). It would contain the names of her father and mother, Leroy Harrison Simms and Elizabeth Manning Simms, and their children Lizzie, Flourney Montgomery, and Lee, and possibly a step-child Billy Simms. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Sue Simms Hill

Hi, I am looking for any information on an Isabella FETTER born 1858 in Schaefferstown, Lebanon County. She died in 1875 and I am interested in finding out what was the cause of death. I've been told that she died unwed in childbirth and that her baby died as well. But I don't think that is the truth because according to the 1880 Census Records of Lebanon County there is a Levi ECKERT age 4 (adopted) born 1875 living with Isabella's parents. It sounds to me like she was married and her baby did survive. If anyone has any information that can help me find the truth I woul appreciate it. You can email me at LKaz@aol.com Thank You, Lisa
Barbara, Contact your local library. They should be able to give you the name of a reliable book bindery. They send their books to binderys on a regular basis.
