    1. Lindsay Bible
    2. Jim & Ellie Kilpatrick
    3. We are searching for the family Bible and record of Samuel and Eleanor (Wilson) Lindsay m.25 Sept.1790, of Lincoln Co NC. They lived there and raised a family of eight children, James, Nancy, Mary, William, Samuel jr., John Clark, Paul Gaddis, and Elizabeth. A few years after the father Samuel, died, in @1808, the mother Eleanor, and five children all went to Ohio, where son William was already located. The eldest son, James remained in NC (Cleveland Co.) and raised his family of children, married to his first wife, Isabela Wright. We think it likely that the Bible remaind with the eldest son in NC but so far have not been able to find it. Does anyone know of the location of this Lindsay Bible today? Ellie

    1. Lawrence Beall Smith
    2. Sorry to create confusion. My mother bought the Lawrence Beall Smith Bible at an antique store in abt 1965. It is very old and I treasure it... but if I can find someone in that family who has adequate info to convince me that the claimed relationship is valid, I will let said person have it for the price my mother paid for it. For this reason I am not giving out any additional info at this time. I have spent time and money looking for any descendant of Lawrence Beall Smith. I have been to libraries, called funeral homes, sent for Soc Sec records, etc... all trails leading to dead-ends. The Family-Bible-L seemed a good place to make one more try. Elaine

    2. Searching for the (Daniel?) RYAL Family Bible. The Daniel Ryal, m Phoebe Kennan in 1754, family was in New Jersey. It could list Joseph who married Mary Stryker, Daniel, Samuel, Isaac who married Catherine DeVore in 1790, Mary who married Lockard Luce, and Peter. It was last known to be in possession of Joseph Rial, 1833 in Seneca County, New York. Joseph later moved to Steuben County, New York.

    3. I'm looking for a Carpenter Bible. It was in possession of Bird Ralph Carpenter (wife was Katie), then went to Zada Carpenter-Rudd. When she died, it went at an auction (or so we are told) 12 years ago. It supposedly has (according to an aunt who viewed the bible more than 40 years ago) our entire Carpenter lineage! Surnames in it are: Carpenter, Christman/Chrisman, Draper, Anderson, Harrison, Gardner, Lawrence, Chesebro, Murphy, and Eychner. And much more. Anyone? Betty Carpenter-McCulloch

    1. FELT FAMILY BIBLE
    2. Jim & Ellie Kilpatrick
    3. I have recently come into possession of an old, very large Bible, that was located in the basement of an old house in Raleigh, NC. The family name is FELT, with death dates for 18 people, all named Felt except two (Nichols and Pitt) The earliest death date is for Louisa Felt who died Sept.4,1809 - and the latest record is for Charles Henry Felt, who died Dec.7, 1916. There are no lists of births or marriages and only two baptism records Pitt Felt and DeWitt Felt, both baptised on June 1, 1849. This Bible needs to go home. Ellie
