    3. Thanks to Peggy and Wayne for their replies - Peggy, I have just done an investigation, putting in a Baptism, a Christening and an Adult Christening. My results indicated, naturally, the Family Group Sheet showed all - the Descendants List (the one of most interest to me and the one I give to most wanting general information) does not show any of them; the Pedigree Chart shows the Christening only, but not the Baptism or Adult Christening; the Box Chart is the same as the Pedigree Chart and the Ahnentafel shows nothing. I went to my trusty school dictionary (Conscise Oxford, 1950 edition) to see if it would help regarding the difference between the Baptism and Christening and it gave the latter as "admit as Christian by baptism" and "administer baptism". So to me they appear to be synonymous. Therefore why not treat "christening" and "baptism" as the same for genealogy computer purposes in the case of the preparation of reports, and not differently as at present. If that can't be accepted, allow all reports to show the christening details, if the birth dates are not given. Datewise, I am not talking about modern times but 150 years back and more - many will have some ancestors in the 1500s to 1700s. Obviously "adult christening (like my dad at about 50) and baptism" is a different situation. Hoping something satisfactory will be included in Rootsmate.
