Do you get the Family Origins Dialogue window that asks if you want to "Save the modified image"? It shouldn't have much to do with where the image file came from, as long as FOW will display it. When I save the modified image it works just fine. If I set the read only attribute before I try to modify the image, everything works just the same, there is no warning that the modification cannot be saved or anything, BUT, the picture isn't modified. Did you perchance remove the read only attribute from the "THU" file instead of the main picture file? Alfred D. Picture still remains as original without editing. Even removed archive check and still have the original picture. These were family slides scanned by my brother onto CD. Perhaps that process has something to do with my problem? Sally Thoreson >
