Thank you all for your responses to my previous inquiries about TempleReady and concordances. I think I knew what TempleReady meant, and hadn't used it since I am not Morman. As for concordances, that may take a while for me to understand, but I'm saving the responses until the time may try to build one. I also have a Trackman with wheel - and it works all the time. I just put the cursor in the correct "pane" - and, whoola! Down come the names or facts. I also like the fact that in the index, when I have a name highlighted, I can go to the person's parents, spouse, or siblings, click on that name, and that person's info comes up. Further, you can Edit from the small panes, rather than returning to the regular view! And finally, there are shortcuts in FO - to Find anyone from the built-in list, I just click: Ctrl+F. To add a new person: Ctrl+I (Individual); spouse: Ctrl+S, etc. Works everytime! =) I love FO - and have sat for hours with friends who use FTM - while they try to navigate through their database - frustrated when it doesn't work the way they "know" it should. I examined several genealogy programs that friends had recommended to me until I finally decided that FO was the most User Friendly - and for old fogies like me, that is important! AND - you really don't have to read the Help info, just use a little of the knowledge you have stored in the back of your brain from other programs you use. (This is not a put-down, since you see I do have a question from time to time - and perhaps I'm just too lazy to read the Help files. lol) Thank you Bruce! Laurie Royal Oak, MI
