Thanks Wayne, good idea. I'll have a look at what impact, if any, that might have on other reports, but it sounds like the answer. I occasionally (but not often) use the Author field as such, but I could always move that data to the description to free the field for this use. There's a few hundred sources to change, but it should be worth it. Naturally I shall experiment on a test database first. The suggestion is much appreciated.
