Am trying to create a family web site as detailed in the 4th addition of the FO book. I wasn't sure what and if I put in the correct URL'S.. http:/freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com~waciaschini www.gendex.com I did have a home page and when I tried to upload it to the website, nothing happened. When I shut down a box came up on the desktop that I was missing a hostname. Where is that suppose to go? The FTP hostname given to me by rootsweb is: users.freepages.rootsweb.com along with a password. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and lead down the correct path? Since I appear to be in the midst of experts I would like to ask a none FO problem.. Can any one tell me how I can get to my browser (IE) without going thru my ISP(Juno.com)?? When I click the IE icon on the desktopa Dial Up box appears and when I try to connect, all I get is a busy signal. Is there a way to select IE icon and go directly on the internet without marching in a parade to get there??? Thank you all...Walt
