    3. I do not know much about MS Works. I don't think the earlier versions are capable of handling RTF files. I Think that some of the later versions of Works include a full MS WORD program so that they are capable of handling the RTF files. You can view RTF files with WordPad, but much of the functionality of Word is not there. It is better than a plain text file because much of the formatting is retained, but you cannot see the codes or create the index, although you can edit and print them. This tiny bit of knowledge about MS Works has been gleaned mostly from various computer adds. It is more of a feeling than a fact. Alfred D.
