Tried turning of firewall and antivirus with no luck. Still could not access webpage. I did notice something - not sure if it means anything. When I go to "Favorites" and click on the link for my website, the url is not in the address bar at the top of the browser, but at the bottom next to the the MSIE Icon it says "Opening page http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~clinehetsler/" and the globe in the upper right hand just keeps turning, but nothing happens (let it go about 5 minutes - I have a cable connection). If I type or cut and past the url into the address bar then I get the Rootsweb page that says they're working on it and the server is down. This is really strange and has me baffled. I have had trouble accessing a web site due to these programs. Of course you don't want to stay "on-line" very long with out either of the above programs running, but this could point you toward a possible conflict. Have you ever been able to access your site on your computer? If you have try restoring your computer to that earlier date and see what happens.
