Hi New to list and need some tech advice I use FO 9.02 My problem is that everything turns to grey and then I loose all ability to access and the only way to solve this is to close down and re-open. Any suggestions as to why this happens and how to overcome would be appreciated as it is most frustrating. Nori in Aust

This sounds sort of like the problem some are having with the tool bar buttons disappearing and then the computer hangs up. It is thought to be a memory management problem. Some computers that even have 128mb or more of RAM have the problem. Windows is a very poor memory manager and that is believed to be the problem. You might try running as few programs at the same time as possible. Also, check the task bar tray and see if you have an unusually large amount of things running all the time there. It would be best to get rid of as many of those as you can do without. There are RAM memory restoring programs that will restore the memory that has been lost during a computer session that might help the problem. One is called "RamBooster" and you can get it at http://www.saunalahti.fi/~borg/rambooster/ It may or may not help your problem but it won't hurt to try it because it is free. Wayne League
