    3. Does anyone include scrapbooks in FO 10 Journals with multiple reports and charts? This looks like a good feature but FO list participants seem to edit reports in a word processor more often than use the Journal. 161 kb uncompressed TIF saved as 124 kb PNG (scanned census photocopy) 36 kb JPG saved as 68 kb PNG (FO chart saved as JPG) XP small setting converted these images to 24 and 26 kb. The FO charts included as individual pictures are too small to read in a descendant report but serve the purpose of identifying the male of each cousin marriage. Used different color borders for first and second cousin marriages. Windows XP has the most efficient and fastest method I've found for batch conversions of mixed image formats to a very efficient JPG image size. The converted images would not be suitable for editing but look just as good to my eyes when printed as the original scans. 640x480 pixels high is suitable for a half page printed on a color ink jet. Image size may not be critical for Family Origins projects until there is a need to get the maximum number of pictures on a backup product or perhaps included in a report saved as PDF. Noticed that the 125 page Family Origins 10 report would not print whole from screen preview but it did print from the PDF file. Yes, tif can be smaller > for certain types of files, but if its not compatible with FO, then you > will need to change it anyway.
