    3. Good Morning List: I have taken photos from a CD to the hard drive. I access them from within the FO scrapbook and then edit. (crop & change whatever) When done with editing the picture it is in the scrap book but without the editing. Just the original picture. Am I expecting a bit much?     3. When you copy a file from a CD, it has the attribute of Readonly. You need to highlight all of the photos that you brought over, right click and select properties. Remove the checkbox in readonly and now you can edit them. Any file copied from a CDR or CDRW disk (other than those written by packet mode ... drag and drop) will always have the readonly attribute turned on. This is often the problem with restoring FO files as well as the photos from a CD. There are utilities that will change the entire folder and subfolder attributes to make things easier, but if you have only a few, the procedure above will do the job.
