My favorite method for making sources match is to print a source list as an RFT. With the two sources one above the other, the difference between them is usually quickly apparent. My source list is large, but I use the Windows "find" feature to locate the sources, note what needs to be done to make the two versions identical, fix them in FO, and delete the RFT when done.
