As I said in a previous post, "never place data in a software folder or subfolder ..." And I practice what I "preach". At the root of my C drive, I have a Data folder that contains all of my data for all my applications. It looks something like this ... Data | |- Audio | |- Banking | |- Database | |- Digital Darkroom | | | |- Raw Scans | |- In Process | |- Finished | |- Genealogy | | | |- FOW | |- FTM | |- PAF | |- TMG | |- General | |- History | |- Graphics | |- Investing | |- Maps | |- Programming | | | |- VB3 | |- VB4 | |- VB5 | |- Video | |- Web | |- Word | |- Work (short for Worksheets) |- Personal |- Business Not only is everything easy to find but it's also easy to backup - simply drag folders or groups of folders onto floppies, ZIP disks or CD's ...
