You can pre-order your upgrade (or the upgrade plus book, or the full thing, etc.) at: http://formalsoft.com/orders.htm Family Origins 10.0 isnt scheduled to ship until later this month, but here is a brief list of the new features in Family Origins 10.0... - Family Journal feature allows you to create single documents with narrative, pedigree charts, group sheets, etc, which share the same index and source bibliography - You can print most printouts to PDF (Acrobat) files - Search for Files feature finds Family Origins files and GEDCOM files on your hard drive - Recently used files can be selected from the File menu - Can enter default folders for databases, backups, photos, reports, and GEDCOMs - Modified Register now can (optionally) print uplines for descendants i.e. (John-3, Samuel-2, Joe-1) - Added globally unique ID to each person. You can merge based on this unique ID which allows easy consolidation with other family members. - You can merge all duplicate sources - You can merge all duplicate repositories - Added Last Edited date to each person - Can search by last edited date - Custom reports can sort by and print last edited date - Customizable tool bar (can select and arrange buttons) - Can now copy printouts to the clipboard (in Enhanced Meta File format) to paste into Word, etc. - Sources can print as as true footnotes in RTF files (option) - Support for TempleReady for Windows, including Ordinance Updating - Add documents (i.e. Word files) to scrapbooks - Add a source to multiple people at one time - And numerous minor enhancements ================================== Do you have any useful Family Origins tips or tricks you would like to share with other users?
