    3. We work with a colleague on a large database (100,000+)of Lutheran immigrants from Westphalia to Fort Wayne, Indiana, and their descendants. The only good way we have found is to designate one database the "master" database. In our case, his is the main database and while we add to ours as we go, he makes the official additions and changes. It's just too confusing and too easy to end up with duplicate information otherwise. Is there a way that we can each know what new information we have each entered when we exchange GEDCOM's or backup disks? Or how should we do this exchange of new information? Any help will be appreciated. > > Duane Fronk > > > > > > ==== FAMILY-ORIGINS-USERS Mailing List ==== > FAMILY ORIGINS - Ordering, UPDATES, books, FAQ, FREE DEMO, Newsletter, etc. http://formalsoft.com For the 8.03 and 9.02 PATCHES and what they fix, go to: http://formalsoft.com/files.htm > > ============================== > Search over 1 Billion names at Ancestry.com! > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/rwlist1.asp _________________________________________________________________ iVillage.com: Solutions for Your Life Check out the most exciting women's community on the Web http://www.ivillage.com
